Some Basics for First Years

Some of this may seem obvious, but a reminder never hurts :)

The Adler School Runs on a trimester schedule, meaning there is a

Fall Semester

Spring Semester

Summer Semester

In your first year as an MAF Student, here are the "sequence of courses" you should be taking. However, do know that many students take these out of order, due to scheduling restrictions, so it is not mandatory to follow this exact sequence.

If you are unsure wether you are on track, check with your advisor, the same professor with which you have your professional seminar. (Usually either Dr. Killmer, Dr. Todd, or Dr. Gellman for MAF students)

651 Assessment and Treatment from a Systemic Perspective 3 cr.

Spring Term
211 Community Service Seminar I 1 cr.
213 Community Service Practicum I 1 cr.
350 Community Psychology & Mental Health 3 cr.
402 Introduction to Adlerian Psychology and Psychopathology 3 cr.
662 Overview of Marriage and Family Therapy Models 3 cr.
